A new office that needed to work for multiple businesses at once
Moving into new premises in Exeter, Lean Projects needed more than a broadband connection. The office would house their own team alongside serviced office tenants, meaning staff, visitors, and multiple separate businesses would all need reliable connectivity from day one.
The network had to keep each user group completely isolated for both security and performance, while running on a single shared infrastructure. And it needed to be built to grow as the business expands.
What Did We Do?
Designed and installed from the ground up
1-Zero-1 was involved from the planning stage of the office fit-out through to installation and ongoing management, covering connectivity, network design, hardware, and wireless coverage.
Dedicated fibre broadband
Sourced and coordinated a business-grade fibre connection with the bandwidth and reliability needed to support multiple organisations operating from the same site.
VLAN network segmentation
Designed a network architecture with separate virtual networks for Lean Projects staff, guest visitors, and serviced office tenants – each isolated, all running on the same physical infrastructure.
Ubiquiti UniFi deployment
Full installation of enterprise firewall, managed PoE switching, and Wi-Fi access points, all managed centrally via the cloud for remote monitoring, updates, and configuration changes.
Wireless coverage
Access points positioned following wireless surveys to deliver consistent coverage across offices and communal areas, with reliable roaming and high device capacity throughout.
